Pictures from Dylan

WE RECEIVED pictures from Dylan in June. After the MTC, he reported to the Mission Home and from there he was assigned to a little town called Kpong (pronounced pong) and paired up with a new companion. His name is Elder Kyeremateng and as of today they are still together serving in the same area. He loves it there so much and and he really loves the people. Again, we are so very proud of him and because of his service and dedication I know not only is he being blessed by Heavenly Father, our family is being blessed too. :)

CADIE GRADUATED from high school!  She graduated with honors and was the only student in her whole class that did not miss a single day of school all four years.  Go Cadie!!!  She will be attending Utah Valley University this fall with a full four year academic scholarship.  We are so proud of her. :)

DYLAN WENT on his mission! He is serving in the Ghana, Accra mission which is in West Africa. He left on May 4th and went straight to the MTC in Ghana. We're very proud of him and there will be more pictures to come.  Here's a video of him at the airport boarding the plane.  I still tear up when I watch this. :)

Devynne came home from Texas to see her brother off.

DAKOTA PLAYED volleyball on the JV team at Eldorado and then partway through the season they bumped him up to Varsity. He caught on and displayed great skill in the sport which both surprised and pleased the coaching staff. In addition to playing volleyball this past spring Dakota also completed his Eagle Scout project.

ON OCTOBER 15th Devynne and Brandon got married in the Las Vegas, Nevada temple!!! It was a wonderful day with lots of family and friends. Devynne was stunning!

DAKOTA STARTED high school this past school year. He's in the Education program at East Career and Technical Academy (East Tech) and played sports for Eldorado. He lettered in Tennis and Boys' Volleyball and played Freshmen Basketball.

Catching Up: Part 1

IT'S BEEN A YEAR since my last blog posting so we're going to catch up on key events. Starting with my trip to Wyoming and South Dakota last August. I visited with my parents and my siblings and had a great time. I spent a few days in Cheyenne and then a few days in South Dakota with my dad, Rita, Lamont and Justi, and Royce and Amy. It was for the Kurtenbach family reunion and it was my first time. I had so much fun with family and with sight seeing. We went to Crazy Horse, Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park (which is where we stayed) and Camp Bob Marshall (where the reunion was held).

With my dad and Missy.

Devynne's Engaged!!

And we are so happy for her. Brandon purposed to her Monday night down on one knee in front of the temple. We are now planning a wedding and we are so excited. We just love Brandon and we know they will be so good together. Here's the ring. :)
